General FAQ's
When Do Orders Ship?
Nearly everything on the site is Made to Order, as much of what is offered can be customized, or by the availability of materials on hand. We try to make sure that shipping is within a one to two week time-frame to work in conjunction with family life as well. That is between this main location site as well as Etsy.
Enamel pins, and other smaller items are within a couple days with exceptions to pre-orders as it involves waiting on a manufacturer to produce these pieces.
Do You Ship Internationally?
Yes! No. The answer is both, with restrictions.
For Domestic US orders - this site is the best option for that. Not only are the prices closer to my in-person event pricing deals, but also is more easier to handle commissions as well.
Normally, International Orders are handled via Etsy - this being they have an integrated VAT system for countries that process it, and is an automatic, no hassle system in that regard so you aren't double-charged on entry into customs. The prices are slightly higher to deal with the ever-evolving issue that the platform fees, and the current revolving tariff policies in place which is out of our control.
Currently international purchases may be on hold and refunded until the tariff market returns to a more amicable state for both us and our consumers.
Returns?
As nearly everything is done to order, returns are a very limited case by case basis and generally not applicable.
If there is issues with your purchase (IE. Damaged/broken/missing pieces) we can happily fix the problem.
Custom specific orders - for example - something monogrammed, or color choice specific that isn't in the general lineup or the like - cannot be refunded. Please be highly aware of the choices made when purchasing.
When purchasing on the site and needing custom details on an item - PLEASE include the details at the Checkout page's Notes field. Triple check spelling or requests are correct, as we will not replace grammatical errors that are submitted to us.
Do You Take Commissions?
We do! (Within Reason.)
A lot of items we are able to customize from start to finish - and more often than not one of the most frequent requests are for personal color or shader types, add-ons, name personalization, etc.
This also extends to a degree to custom commission pieces. If you have an idea or have seen something we've done at a convention or on the site, please feel free to get in contact with us about these via the Contact form, or email at: aphelions.rest@gmail.com and provide some details (references are also greatly helpful!) and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible.
Vending Locations?
Throughout the year we do select conventions, and will be branching out into more that fit our items and vending criteria. If you have suggestions of places along the East Coast let us know!
Each year will always include:
• ENC Renaissane Faire - Kinston, NC (Spring Season)
• GCX Gaming Community Expo - Universal Studios Orlando, FL (Summer Season)
• Playthrough Gaming Convention - Raleigh, NC (Fall Season)
• Fayetteville Fan Fest (Formerly Fayetteville ComiCon) - Fayetteville, NC (Fall Season)
• Geek and Grub Market Events - Eastern NC Areas (Varies)
I Need A Gift, FAST! HELP!
Depending on the item, some orders can go out relatively quickly. This does not guarantee a fully customized piece (and can greatly depend on the materials its made from as some take time, in particular 3d printed pieces and preparation time.)
Also, as always I am at the mercy of the postal services. Once it is out of my hands I can only go as fast as the delivery is. Rush orders within the right specifications can be upgraded for a rush upgrade postage fee. This will vary depending on time frame needed and by whatever the seasonal rates are.
Seriously, do you use AI?
No. And furthermore - no.
If we do not directly have a hand in drawing or mapping out the designs which is extensive and several pieces, we purchase from reputable places with receipts and/or Patreon memberships (like in the case of textile patterns and such.)
We also carefully try to adhere to guidelines in more particular gaming policies with IP adherence and creative liberties within the legal scope of derivative or custom personal fan art with our decor items. If licenses are required we do try to seek these out as well so we can expand on our abilities to serve different gaming circles of interest.
AI is an increasingly growing hot topic of contention among the Art communities and Vendor spaces, and while we do acknowledge that AI - in some forms - is useful as a tool for some forms of automation, coding and the like, it is the new version of the internet Wild West and strips identity and the work and talent of artists without real accountability of the origins which it's resources have been stripped from. We try to avoid any references or direct use of it in our own products to hold to our motto of "The only AI is Artistic Integrity."
What Charities Do You Support?
Currently we participate annually at GCX (Gaming Community Expo) at Universal Orlando, Florida as a vendor.
Over the years GCX (formerly GuardianCon) partners with St. Jude and St. Jude Play Live in order to have relays, Tiltify marathons and live events in order to raise money for St. Jude - a hospital system that specializes in the care and treatment of childhood cancer. Play Live and other content creators converge for a weekend of fun and raise money for this great cause, and is a close to home event for Mandi as a cancer survivor, as well as her late-father's presence in life as a Shriner in service to this as well as Children's Diabetes fundraising and assistance. We try to give back every year to this with our unique and one of a kind raffle items with donations going to the cause.
Additionally - we will be looking into a secondary animal charity with the passing of our Littlest Warbeast, Tink. Currently, we do volunteer work at a local wildlife animal sanctuary and would like to start some of our focus on there for donations to help them thrive and keeping updates, maintenance and ordnance codes all up to date.

Bonus points if you know the reference.
